I'm a freelance Microsoft full-stack developer with more than fifteen years of professional experience, and my projects have covered the full range: BizTalk orchestrations and WebForms portals on one end, .NET Core, Kubernetes and Azure Functions on the other. Dutch enterprises run on both, which is exactly where I come in: project-based engagements from a few months to four years, inside your Agile or Scrum team.

Three and a half years on the Vattenfall Integration Platform, the B2B layer between Vattenfall and its partners in the gas and electricity chain, cloud and on-premises.

  • Moved partner-facing WCF services into Azure APIM with backward-compatible endpoints, test sandboxes and phased cutovers
  • Rebuilt a BizTalk message splitting/aggregation flow as event-driven Azure Functions and Service Bus, with poison queues, exponential backoff and Application Insights dashboards
  • Migrated a TFVC monorepo to Azure DevOps Git: YAML pipelines, SonarQube gates, infrastructure as code in ARM/Bicep, and the team training to go with it
  • Ran integrations for reliability: retry policies, circuit breakers, Key Vault, Kubernetes auto-scaling, SLIs/SLOs

  • Boskalis: extended the Payroll Manage time registration system with SQL/CLR stored procedures and SSRS reporting, fed by BizTalk
  • Middin: a live organizational chart queried from Active Directory over LDAP, rendered as an interactive D3.js tree inside SharePoint
  • Merin: a Dynamics CRM extension that pulls company data from the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) API and fills in the record for you

Pension and administrative software, with 27 client organizations in three years: Ahold, ANWB, Delta Lloyd, Holland Casino, GSK, VolkerWessels, NIBC and Mercer among them.

  • Loyalis: a three-step pension calculator for the ZZP pension site, with interaction tracking for conversion work
  • Delta Lloyd: Income Compass, a responsive tool that gave visitors a first indication of their pension
  • Mercer Belgium: management screens and the closing book year batch for the FinCircle pension administration package
  • NIBC and Artesia Bank: rewrote the Cerrix GRC screens and moved the data layer to ADO.NET with security-safe exports
